The steps for deleting search history from Internet Explorer 6 and Internet Explorer 7 are different.
To delete search history in Internet Explorer 6:

Select “Tools” from the Tools menu.
Select “Internet Options“.
Select the “Content” tab.
Click the “AutoComplete” button.
Select the “Clear forms” button to erase search history.
