Is Your Gmail Slow?
Ever since Google upgraded Gmail to a new user interface, the number of complaints increased regarding Gmail loading slowly. The 2.0 user interface (UI) was released in the fall of 2007. There is an easy workaround to this: use this address to access your Gmail account: https://mail.google.com/mail/?ui=1 instead of the usual www.gmail.com. The former address uses the 1.0 interface, while the latter uses the 2.0 interface. It appears that even Google’s grid computing can not overcome software design flaws - not to mention their recent 15 hour outage.
