For many of us, living in a multi-level or multi-room house can result in weak wireless signals. Fortunately, 802.11n wireless provides for greater Wi-Fi distances, however, not always enough strength to get to all required locations. And many of you may have 802.11 a/b/g wireless routers, so anything that boost or increase the wi-fi signal strength from our wireless router is beneficial.

For less than 1 dollar and 5 minutes of your time, you can build an antenna booster to increase your wireless router signal.

What you’ll need: Glue, aluminum foil, cardboard, and a paper towel or toilet paper roll.

What you do: Create a parabolic reflector! Sounds complicated. It’s not.

Simply go to http://www.freeantennas.com   and checkout their free Parabolic Reflector Template.

I was able to do this in 5 minutes and boost my 802.11g wireless signal significantly.
