The “IT” in Simon Sez IT stands for “Information Technology.” In a nutshell:

We teach people to use the most popular business software, including Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, Photoshop, Web Design and QuickBooks®️.

Self-paced, affordable software training is what Simon Sez IT is all about.

Expertise

Our approach to teaching comes from our passion to fully explain how something works. We don’t skirt around the edges. We think that if you’re going to teach something, teach it right. We take the time to explain the ins and outs, back it up with practice exercises and tests, and always teach in a visually easy-to-follow way via video.

We hire only the best authors to teach, and our style is to take the time to explain things in the detail they deserve. That means our courses are perfect if you’re new to a certain technology or just technology shy in general.

Our Beginning

We’ve been teaching online for over a decade. It all started when the owner, Chris “Simon” Calder, was working as a Project Manager in IT for one of Los Angeles’ most prestigious cultural institutions, LACMA.

He taught himself to use Microsoft Project from a giant textbook and hated every moment of it. Online learning was in its infancy then, but he spotted an opportunity and made an online Microsoft Project course for DVD, which he sold on eBay.

Fast forward to now, and Simon Sez IT has taught hundreds of thousands of students through its online course platform and popular YouTube channel.

Our Goal

Simon Sez IT is an enabler; we help people increase their productivity, achieve their personal and professional goals and get home from work a little bit earlier.

Getting a little bit better at something each day can have a massive and lasting impact. It’s why we’re a membership site. For a small monthly or annual fee, members get access to all of our courses.
