Adding Notes in PowerPoint
Accessing Notes Pane
To add notes in PowerPoint:
- Navigate to the View Ribbon.
- Select the Notes button in the Show group. This opens a customizable notes pane below the current slide in Normal and Outline views and next to the slide in Presenter View.
Customizing Notes
The notes pane allows you to type key points or messages related to the slide.
You can also format the text using the keyboard shortcut Ctrl+B, such as bold titles for emphasis.
Clicking the Notes button again will hide or reveal the Notes pane.
Viewing and Printing Notes
Notes Page in Presentation Views
Selecting the Notes Page in the Presentation Views group lets you see how the notes will appear if printed.
This view shows the slide with notes underneath, which is useful for printing a hard copy of the presentation with notes.
Printing Notes
To print the presentation and notes:
- Use Ctrl+P or go to File > Print.
- Under Settings, select the option to print Notes Pages. This allows you to print slides with their corresponding notes.
Notes Master Customization
Customizing Notes Layout
The Notes Master feature allows you to customize the appearance and layout of your notes.
This is similar to using the Slide Master for slides, enabling universal changes to the layout of the notes across the presentation.
