Jira Slack Integration can be done with a few steps:

STEP 1: Get the Slack application from here. Once you get the Slack application, log in to the application using your organization credentials.

STEP 2: Search “Slack App directory” in the Google search and select the Essential apps sub-option.

STEP 3: Once you get the app directory page, search for Jira cloud and select the Jira cloud app as shown in the image:

STEP 4: Once you get the Jira cloud page, click on the “Add to Slack” button as shown below:

Once you have added the Jira cloud with slack, you must do a configuration to use Jira on your Slack.

Configuration of Jira as a Slack Add-on:

STEP 1: After downloading the Jira for Slack, open settings → Jira settings → Apps → Manage App. Use the image below for your reference:

STEP 2: Once you navigate through app settings, you will be prompted with the screen to manage the app. Select the Action Required to drop down. From the list, select All Apps.

STEP 3: Once you select All Apps, scroll down the same list to find the Slack App. Or, you can find it by using Ctrl+F and typing Slack in the search bar. The search bar can be seen at the top right-hand corner of the screen.

STEP 4: Finally, you will be presented with the Slack integration message. Click the configure button that is present in the top left corner of the screen. Now, you will see a Slack pop-up on your screen.

The last step is to enable the Slack integration plugin by selecting the toggle bar. This final step will configure Jira with Slack.

Now, open Slack and invite the Jira bot to Slack by typing @jira and clicking enter. This helps you to check whether you have configured Jira to Slack correctly or not.

Once you fully configured Jira with Slack, you can invite your agile team to collaborate.

If you cannot configure properly, then repeat the steps involved in configuring Jira as a Slack add-on.

You can send an invite to your team as a Slack invite. Click on “Add members,” and you will get two options: Send an invite and a new conversation. Select Send an invite, copy the invite link, and send it to your team.
